Directions to Mabalingwe
DIRECTIONS TO MABALINGWE ENTRANCE ON R516 – ROOIBERG RD. BELA BELA. For emergencies call: Saki Louw on 0833028163 or Leigh Louw on 0832719360 GOOGLE - GPS:– 5G7C522V+73 or lateral co-ordinates – 24.849372, 28.042697
• From N1 North towards Pietersburg / Polokwane.
• Take Codrington / Settlers turn off, and keep left on R576 to Codrington.
• At T junction turn right onto R101 to Bela Bela. (Just before entering Bela Bela you’ll see a big shopping mall on your left)
• Drive straight into Bela Bela town and cross over the small bridge.
• After the bridge at 1st robot, turn left into Potgieter street.
• Turn right at the dead end into Richie street.
• Cross over first stop street, Sutter street.
• Turn left into Chris Hani street. (Aventura Resort will be your left.)
• Continue over speed humps to the traffic circle.
• At circle turn left onto the R516 towards Thabazimbi / Rooiberg.
• After about 22 kilometres turn right at the Mabalingwe sign.
• Inform security at the gate you’re a guest going to 40 Kukama.
DIRECTIONS TO LODGE AFTER ENTERING MAIN GATE: (N.B From the main entrance to the lodge is about 10km) GOOGLE GPS: – 5G7C54R4+47 or lateral co-ordinates – 24809639, 28.105729 NB. (Remain on tar road up to IDWALA Gate!)
• After entering the main gate, drive towards reception but NOT to reception.
• Drive to the end of the airstrip and keep left at the ORANGE RHINO SIGN.
• Drive through DIP with STOP SIGN.
• Continue straight on towards reception.
• Just BEFORE RECEPTION turn RIGHT at big GREY and RED flower pots.
• Travel downhill for about 200m and turn sharp LEFT towards IDWALA.
• Drive past the “FARM SHOP” & swimming pools on your right.
• Continue past WF WESSELS dam on right.
• Continue straight on to the Klipspringer dam sign and go through the dip.
• Remain on the tar road past Kubu dam on your left.
• Keep RIGHT at FIRST SPLIT on the road towards IDWALA 11-30.
• Continue past IDWALA 30 and 28 on your left.•Keep RIGHT at the SECOND SPLIT and drive to IDWALA GATE directly ahead.
• At the IDWALA gate, call Security on 014 0017240 to open the gate or Saki on 0833028163.
• Drive directly through the IDWALA gate straight on. (Don’t turn right over the cattle grid)
• Continue straight on the sand road.
• At the YELLOW & BROWN “KUKAMA’’ sign turn LEFT.
• Drive past Elandsfontein 3, 2, and I that’s on your right.
• Keep LEFT at the junction towards KUKAMA and NOT Elandsfontein.
• Enter KUKAMA AREA drive past KUKAMA 43 on the left and no. 38 on right.
• After no. 38 turn sharp right and keep right at no. 40 KUKAMA / UZURI SIGN.
• Drive over the small hill to the house on your right.
